According to research from BSRIA Worldwide Market Intelligence, as economies around the world are recovering from contraction, severe restrictions and closures, the air conditioning market continues to stabilize and global growth has been recorded for the most part of 2021. However, in the short term, inflation and the supply chain crisis remain of primary concern.

Results from the BSRIA Worldwide Air Conditioning Study are available globally, regionally or nationally, focusing on 2021 with forecasts by product through 2026.

Globally, the Packaged Air Conditioning (PAC) market increased by 8.1% in terms of volume, while the Commercial Units (CPAC) market outperformed and grew 13.8%.

Despite advancing inflation and rising prices, the total air conditioning market has increased by about 15% in value. Overall, the 2021-26 CAGR for both the PAC and the CPAC is estimated at around 3.1% in terms of volume and 4.9% in terms of value.
