From the Montreal Protocol to the Kigali Amendment up to the Green Deal for the gradual reduction of fluorinated gases, it has been necessary to identify alternative solutions, such as hydrocarbons, ammonia, CO2 or water, capable of guaranteeing, in addition to a low GWP also a limited overall environmental impact, with the same energy efficiency and safety. In this specific case, propane has a reduced climate-altering power and good thermodynamic properties.
