At the AHR Expo in the US, Honeywell launched a new low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant for commercial and industrial refrigeration, optimized for supermarkets and indicated as a replacement for R404A.
The latest addition to Honeywell is called Solstice N71 (R-471A) and is a synthetic, non-flammable solution with a GWP of less than 150.
Solstice N71 expands Honeywell's Solstice product line, which includes Solstice N40, the most popular R-404A replacement refrigerant for the supermarket industry. The Solstice N40 is reported to have been adopted by over 60,000 supermarkets around the world since its release in 2015.
Solstice N71 is Honeywell's next generation solution that meets the most stringent regulations.
