The German Environment Agency (UBA), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) will jointly host a fully virtual conference on May 25-27.

The Green Cooling Summit addresses how the gradual reduction of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) under the Kigali Amendment of the Montreal Protocol can be better implemented and accelerated politically and technically through the use of natural refrigerants and improved energy efficiency.

Participants are encouraged to see the requirements of the Kigali Amendment as an opportunity to make an active contribution to climate protection at an early stage. The insights and best practices presented at this conference will provide a solid foundation for a critical rethinking of current cooling practices.

The conference will be held in virtual form.
